Jay Ferguson – Real Estate Market Update March 24

More and more inventory coming on the market this past week, exactly what you expect this time of year. I closed on a 3800sf lake area log home for FULL PRICE, it actually went under contract the same day it came on the market. Perfect timing for buyer and seller alike. I noticed two different homes under contract/sold in the $150k-175k range (Southern Garrett county & Mt Lake Park area), excellent opportunities for first time home buyers. Tiny homes became very popular over the last few years here at the lake. I completely get the concept but I have to say I am shocked at some of the prices people were getting and are currently asking. The properties are gorgeous and tastefully renovated but is a 1,000 sf 1BR A-frame (no waterfront or views, no major rental draw) really worth $500k? Time will tell.
I have commercial space available in Oakland at 3 S 3rd St, The Parlor. A nail salon booth is available, two other flex spaces for health & wellness professionals or similar. Affordable rental rates by the day, weekly or monthly. Call for a preview of the space.
