Monday, May 22, 2023: Today is world Paloma day! Actually, last Thursday, I had my first Paloma drink and this light citrusy drink was really amazing! It’s a cocktail made with tequila and grapefruit soda — I liked it so much I stopped by Deep Creek Beverage and put some on order and they should get a few cases in this Thursday!

The weather today will be mostly sunny, with highs in the lower 70s and a low of 53. East winds of around 5 to 10 mph.

The Garrett County Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Committee invites the public to contribute their thoughts and suggestions for improving experiences in Garrett County. Committee members will facilitate open sessions at Friendsville Library today from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Everyone is welcome to share their ideas, irrespective of their background or experiences.

The Garrett County Health Department introduces the initial set of affordable rabies clinics for 2023. From Monday, May 22 to Saturday, May 27, 2023, vaccination services will be provided for dogs, cats, and ferrets — Each vaccination costs $5.00 per animal.
