Walk with Ease

Garrett Regional Medical Center and the Garrett County Health Department are partnering to offer the Arthritis Foundation's Walk With Ease program—a fun, supportive walking program designed to help improve your health, reduce pain, and increase physical activity. July 6 – August 14 Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Broadford Park Whether you're looking to become more active, manage arthritis symptoms, or simply enjoy walking with others, this program provides encouragement, accountability, and support every step of the way. Summer Blood Drive
Oakland American Legion 423 Memorial Drive, Oakland, MD, United StatesSouthern High School's Student Council will be hosting a summer blood drive at the American Legion in Oakland on July 10th, from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM. The student council was able to bring in 110 units of blood this past school year, which not only saved numerous lives but also awarded the school a scholarship in the amount of $1500 to give to deserving seniors. Donors who give can qualify for a $15 e-gift card to a merchant of their choice. Please help Southern with their first drive of the 2026-2027 school year! The legion will also be hosting a BBQ chicken dinner. Give blood and grab a dinner! Dino-Mite Story and Craft Hour
Ruth Enlow Library - Grantsville 102 Parkside Drive, Grantsville, MarylandJoin the Children's Literature Centre staff for a hilarious reading of We Don’t Eat Our Classmates by Ryan Higgins. Kids will create a chomping dinosaur craft and decorate their own Penelope dinosaur using colorful craft supplies. Storytime and hands-on fun come together in this dino-mite program! Registration is required for this event and will close on July 10, 2026 @ 1:30 PM. This event is for registrants age 18 and below.
