Jay Ferguson – Real Estate Market Update March 31

Jay Ferguson – Real Estate Market Update March 17 (Deep Creek Lake, MD)

Way back in 2002, I sold a lakefront lot to a family who had a dream to build a custom vacation home. They have photos of the day they signed the contract, sitting beside the lake at a picnic table with me. It was an iconic moment – very rarely do you get an opportunity to be part of something so simple yet so meaningful. Within a year, they had built one of the most impressive and successful rental properties over the past 25 years – “Unforgettable”.

I’m very excited to bring Taylor Made’s best vacation rental earner back on the market this week – 400 Moonrise Drive at Waterfront Greens. It’s an 8BR lakefront, 5000+sf, with an indoor pool on a FANTASTIC lot and has averaged $250k+ in rentals over the past several years. The owners have done a great job of keeping it updated, and it shows.

I closed on a renovated vacation home in Pergin Farm last week for $430,000 and will close on another at Sky Valley today. A lakefront townhouse at Ski Cove went under contract, along with a lake access log home at Penn Cove and a lakeview home at Silver Tree Landing. This week I’m working on bringing a chalet in Accident with some acreage and views on the market – hope to have it ready for next week.

Remember, every Thursday in April at Ace’s Run – DCL100 trivia at 6 pm! We are putting our team together right now, hope to see you there!

If you or someone you know is looking at buying or selling real estate here at Deep Creek Lake, please let me know – I would love an opportunity to help! Jay Ferguson, 301-501-0420, deepcreeklaker@gmail.com.

194 residential properties listed for sale (up from 185 last week)
59 under contract/pending (down 1 from last week)
29 total home sales closed so far in March, more will close today
