With Tax Day approaching, Maryland ranks 7th overall in total tax burden, with residents paying about 9.70% of their income in state and local taxes. Motorists are advised that the contractor working on the MD 135 Bridge project near Loch Lynn Heights will be setting steel beams on the eastbound lane on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. During this operation: The traffic signal will be temporarily turned dark, flaggers will direct traffic through the work zone and traffic delays of up to 15 minutes are possible. Work will begin after morning school buses have completed their routes, and crews anticipate completing the steel placement before afternoon bus pickup times.
