On December 21st, fifty families received Harvest Hub meal boxes at the Friendsville Volunteer Fire Department, boosting food security for the holidays. Each box featured an 8–10 pound ham, potatoes, milk, and essentials for a festive dinner, plus breakfast items and ingredients for hearty ham and bean soup. Recipes and instructional videos were included to help families prepare their meals.

The Garrett County Health Department assures Medicaid clients that out-of-county trips for approved medical appointments through the Medical Assistance Transportation Program are unaffected by Garrett Transit Service’s policy change.
