Thursday May 4, 2023: We had a beautiful winter wonderland snow yesterday and some friends of mine were able to get out and enjoy it on their fat bikes! We love it here!

The weather today will be patchy fog in the morning. Numerous rain showers in the morning, then scattered rain showers, with isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs around 50. and a low of 36. Northwest winds of around 10 to 15 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph. The chance of rain is 70%.

A study on financial literacy in the US found that 48.9% of Maryland adults rank with “high financial literacy”.

The Maryland DNR and US Fish and Wildlife Service are tagging northern snakeheads to incentivize their removal from local waters. Up to 500 tags will be placed on snakeheads from various areas, and those who catch a tagged fish can win either $10 or $200. To qualify for the reward, anglers must report the tag number to the US Fish and Wildlife Service and provide a picture of the harvested fish by 2024.
