Attention Visitors! The authorities of Garrett County have notified that Glendale Road will be inaccessible for traffic in both directions, starting from the Route 219 entrance to Zeddock Miller Road. This closure will be in effect from June 14 until the first part of August.

On May 20, 2023, Garrett County law enforcement agencies organized the 2023 Special Olympics Torch Run at Hickory Environmental Educational Center.
5th Grade Career Day received tremendous community support with 35 volunteers from 24 different professions, 268 fifth-grade students had the opportunity to explore various careers. GCPS extends gratitude to the elementary school counselors, fifth-grade teachers, career coaches, and Garrett College for their assistance and facility usage.
