Important Notice: Starting Wednesday, May 31, 2023, there will be prefabricated bridge construction occurring on North Hill Road. For an estimated duration of four weeks, the road will be closed in order to facilitate the project. The closure will specifically affect the area between the junction of North American Road and Shallmar Road.

Please note that Garrett County Public Schools and Administrative Offices, as well as the Ruth Enlow Library branches, are closed for Memorial Day.

Join American Legion Post 71 and the Town of Oakland, MD for the Memorial Day parade today at 10:30 AM in downtown Oakland. The route starts on Liberty Street, passes through Second Street and Alder Street, and concludes at the Oakland Cemetery for a Memorial Day Ceremony.
