As of April 10, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources has stocked over 5,000 trout. In Garrett County, the North Branch Potomac River at Barnum received both golden and rainbow trout.

The Spring 2025 Icon Class runs from April 28 to June 9, meeting Mondays only from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with no class on Memorial Day. Limited to 12 participants, the class costs $125 and includes all materials and a finished icon. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required by April 12 to reserve your spot.
