Performing Arts Center at Garrett College Free, open to the public Light refreshments will be available This lecture will be presented by Chris Nichols, a Garrett County resident and board member at the Garrett County Historical Society. His lecture will cover all the way to 1925, the year of Deep Creek Lake's birth with maps, commentary, and historic newspaper articles. Swing Dance

Performing Arts Center at Garrett College 687 Mosser Road, McHenry, MD, United States

The Garret Jazz Ensemble is hosting a Swing Dance on Saturday, October 26 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Garrett College's Performing Arts Center. The group will be playing a variety of big band music from the 30s and 40s. Come out and dance the night away or just relax and listen. A cash bar and snacks will be available for purchase. Free admission, with donations gladly accepted. The Garrett Jazz Ensemble is made up of Garrett Community Concert Band members plus vocalists Debi Beachy & Dave Callis. Dr. Sean Beachy is the Band Leader & Pianist. The group is a non-profit organization with all donations going toward operating expenses such as music and a sound system.
