Participants will compete in games from the 80s and 90s - and maybe even earlier! Which games? You'll have to join us to find out! Bonus! A gently-used generation 1 Nintendo Switch will be available as a top prize, and, as with all library programs, entry is free! Can you hold on your own against some of these older games/gaming systems? We can't wait to find out!   • Bomber Down!

    Retired Park Ranger Rick Lewis will be presenting this true story of a B-52 bomber that crashed in a snowstorm on Big Savage Mountain in 1964. Many local people played a role in the massive search for the plane and its crew, four of whom had ejected prior to the crash. Artifacts will be available to view, including one of the actual ejection seats from the aircraft.

    Visit Kitzmiller, MD, from Friday, May 22, through Sunday, May 24, for a weekend of history and outdoor activities. The Kitzmiller Coal Mining Museum will open to the public each day from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM, highlighting the rich heritage of this historic Upper Potomac coal town. You can easily plan a full day in the area by pairing the museum visit with a walk along the Potomac Riverwalk, a tour of the local Arboretum, or a hike on the trails at Wolf Den Run State Park.
