    Learning Beyond the Classroom Bus is Back! The Learning Beyond the Classroom Bus is officially out of hibernation and ready to roll again this month! We’re excited to bring fun, hands-on learning experiences to families in our community. Exciting Announcement! We are adding a NEW bus stop at Route 40 Elementary School! The bus will visit the Friday before Bus Week each month (except for May, when it will be Thursday due to a scheduling conflict).

  • Kitzmiller: Museum Opening and Local Attractions

    Visit Kitzmiller, MD, from Friday, May 22, through Sunday, May 24, for a weekend of history and outdoor activities. The Kitzmiller Coal Mining Museum will open to the public each day from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM, highlighting the rich heritage of this historic Upper Potomac coal town. You can easily plan a full day in the area by pairing the museum visit with a walk along the Potomac Riverwalk, a tour of the local Arboretum, or a hike on the trails at Wolf Den Run State Park.

Leashed pets are also welcome in outdoor areas.
