This free, introductory class will teach participants water safety, canoe terminology, and basic paddle strokes on land before practicing skills on New Germany Lake. Space is limited to ten people and registration is required by contacting Ranger Julia Musselwhite at julia.musselwhite@maryland.gov. Paddlers must be at least 12 years old to participate and anyone under 18 years of age must have a responsible adult present during the class.

Join Sang Run State Park Volunteers for the perfect fall day! We will have delicious food from our gardens, and warm drinks for purchase. Help them make apple butter over the fire and take your turn and press apples for fresh cider! Crafts will feature some of Sang Run's fall favorites! Meet the birds of prey for lunch at the Aviary. The naturalists will discuss the enthralling natural history of these powerful animals as well as some peeks at how they are trained!
Let's go on a hike and enjoy the leaves that are starting to change colors and fall. We'll bring the leaves back to the store to use them for craft projects.
