Kids between 7-15 will learn skills that will help on their own fishing adventures. Registration is required. Registration can be done at the Discovery Center desk with a $5 payment. The ride is for intermediate‐level riders looking to apply and improve their skills in a non‐competitive atmosphere. We will ride about 5 miles of intermediate-level terrain (about one loop), with some uphills and fun downhill-flowy sections. Then, depending on the group's appetite, we can go for another lap. There will be obstacles that require the rider to get their front wheel off the ground to clear successfully. Basic mountain biking skills are required. Short, steep climbs and descents may be encountered. More fit entry-level riders can successfully ride this intermediate trail. While still “casual” in nature, this pace will have fewer stops than a beginner ride along the way. Riders with average fitness should do fine on this level of ride. Join Polska Polish Pottery of Deep Creek Lake for a weekly Tuesday Scavenger Hunt benefiting local charities! Sign up your team now (max of 20 teams) and get ready for a fun and exciting competition! The hunt begins at 9:30 AM (but teams are welcome to join until 6:00 PM) on Tuesday at Polska Polish Pottery at Dry Dock Plaza (next to McDonald's). Teams will receive the rules and will have two hours to complete a series of tasks. Each task earns points for your team. The top 3 teams will each receive a gift! Prizes will be awarded at 9:30 AM on Wednesday at Polska Polish Pottery. Team costumes are encouraged! The team registration fee is $25, payable at Polska Polish Pottery. The annual Homecoming Parade will be held on Saturday, July 27th. Line-up starts at 5:00 PM. The parade starts at 6:00 PM. Line-up and judging will be at our fire station. 249 East Main Street, Kitzmiller, Maryland 21538. All Fire and EMS Departments are welcome! Food and entertainment will be available after the parade at the old school grounds.
