Join Ranger Noah for this rare opportunity to view a solar eclipse! The watch party will begin at 2:00 PM, but guests are welcome to stop by at any point during the program timeframe. The eclipse will peak at 3:21 PM. A limited supply of viewing glasses will be available, along with some light snacks and outdoor games. Registerstration is not required but is greatly appreciated. Join DCAB for a FREE Intermediate Group MTB Ride! Every other Monday this summer! Meet at 6:00 PM at the upper lot (by the pool), wheels down at 6:15 PM. Return (one lap) by 7:30 PM. PLEASE SIGN UP AND SIGN THE WAIVER IN ADVANCE! We will ride the awesome Dan's Mountain Lonconia loop at a casual/moderate pace. The ride is for intermediate‐level riders looking to apply and improve their skills in a non‐competitive atmosphere. We will ride about 5 miles of intermediate-level terrain (about one loop), with some uphills and fun downhill-flowy sections. Then, depending on the group's appetite, we can go for another lap. There will be obstacles that require the rider to get their front wheel off the ground to clear successfully. Basic mountain biking skills are required. Short, steep climbs and descents may be encountered. More fit entry-level riders can successfully ride this intermediate trail. While still “casual” in nature, this pace will have fewer stops than a beginner ride along the way. Riders with average fitness should do fine on this level of ride. Hey friends, we're offering womens+ casual group trail / MTB bike rides!! All abilities are welcome! Join us on Thursdays: Meet at 5:15 PM, wheels down at 5:30 PM. Return by 7:15 PM. The ladies will ride a portion of the trails at Broadford Lake Park as a chance to meet other bike riders (or want-to-be riders) stopping periodically along the way to reinforce skills needed to tackle the trail and to (definitely) take pictures of our bikes and wildflowers. This FREE ride is for beginner‐level riders looking to meet other female riders and improve their skills in a non-competitive atmosphere. We will ride about 3 miles of beginner-level terrain with some small uphill sections and fun-flowy sections. Want to help preserve our regional biodiversity? Bring your work gloves, kneeling pads, favorite weeding tools, and some elbow grease to remove unwanted plants from the garden. As you work, you'll learn how to identify common weeds and why protecting native plants is so critical for wildlife. Meet at the native plant garden near the Lake House. Please bring your own water bottle, insect repellent, and sunscreen.
