Events for July 6, 2026

Join us as we explore the exciting world of rocks, minerals, gems, and fossils with Naturalist Sam Reckart from Herrington Manor State Park. Participants will break open a geode and keep the crystal that they find inside. Other activities will include a fossil/gem dig and mosaic craft. Registration is required for this event and will close on July 6, 2026 @ 10:30 am. This event is for registrants age 18 and below. Join us as we discuss Plant Genetics. The program will cover the following lesson objectives: Understand the basics of DNA and genetics in plants. Explore how genetic traits affect gardening practices. Learn about plant breeding and genetic modification. Apply knowledge to improve gardening techniques.
