Summer Fun Day: Ball Games

Oakland Ruth Enlow Library 6 N 2nd St, Oakland

Kids of all ages can join us anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Summer Fun Days for games and activities that will be set up in the meeting room. Preregistration is not available, but please sign in at the information desk when you arrive. Play time may be limited to 30 minutes if the room reaches capacity and others are waiting to join. Parent supervision is required since library staff may not always be present. Today’s activity is ball games, which will include ping-pong, bounce target toss, toss tic-tac-toe, and a pop and catch ball game. Disclaimer/s: This program is designed for children and accompanying adults. Please plan to attend and be engaged with your child for this program. Drop-offs will not be permitted. Programs, events, and classes may be photographed or videotaped for library promotional purposes. Your participation in programs signifies your permission for us to use any photos that we take of you. Please speak to a librarian at the event if you would prefer your photo not be taken.

Town of Oakland July 4th Celebration and Fireworks Display

The Town of Oakland, Maryland holds a fireworks display each year on July 3 at Broadford Lake park. The rain date is July 5. The Garrett Community Concert Band Choral Society presents a musical celebration and a salute to our Armed Forces. The concert begins 7:30 pm at the amphitheater. The fireworks will begin at the conclusion of the concert which will be at approximately 9:30 pm.
