Mountain Laurel Garden Club’s Annual Plant Sale

Glades Pavilion Liberty Street, Oakland

The Mountain Laurel Garden Club Annual Plant Sale will take place on Saturday, June 13, from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM (or until sold out) at the Glades Pavilion on Liberty Street in downtown Oakland. The sale will be held rain or shine; no pets, please. Shoppers will be thrilled with the variety of plants available. We expect a wide selection of perennial and pollinator favorites, along with culinary and medicinal herbs, including three types of basil and popular heirloom tomato varieties. And perhaps most exciting, the sale will feature species of native Maryland plants that support pollinators, birds, and biodiversity, including Purple Coneflower (Echinacea purpurea), Rattlesnake Master (Eryngium yuccifolium), Penstemon (Penstemon digitalis), Blue Lobelia (Lobelia siphilitica), and Mistflower (Conoclinium coelestinum). Founded in 1989 by longtime Mountain Lake Park resident Kathie Smith, MLGC is committed to environmental leadership, horticulture, floral design, local beautification, and education.
