Run for the Trees Image Bob Ross Run for the Trees: Happy Little (Virtual) 5K!
Virtual OnlyThe Friends of Maryland State Forests and Parks have joined forces with eleven other states to host the Bob Ross Run for the Treesvirtual 5K event to help raise money for tree plantings, pollinator gardens, invasive species removal, and other stewardship projects. This virtual event invites you to complete a 5K anytime between April 19-27, 2025, coinciding with Earth Day and Arbor Day. Registered participants will receive a Happy Little T-shirt, a commemorative bib number, and a finisher's medal. Click here to register and support Maryland State Forests and Parks! The deadline to register and receive your shirt, bib, and medal is April 1, 2025.

FREE Womens+ Casual Group Trail Mountain Bike Ride
Herrington Manor State Park 222 Herrington Ln, Oakland, MD, United StatesHey friends, Deep Creek Adventure Bureau is offering women's+ casual group trail/MTB bike rides! All abilities are welcome! Meet at 5:15 PM, wheels down at 5:30 PM, and return by around 7:30 PM. This is a great opportunity to meet other bike riders (or aspiring riders), with stops along the way to reinforce trail-riding skills and, of course, snap some photos of bikes and wildflowers. This free ride is for beginner-level riders looking for local trail/MTB guidance in a noncompetitive atmosphere, as well as intermediate and advanced riders wanting to meet new biking friends.
