Kick off your Autumn Glory weekend with a run through idyllic Broadford Park. The Oakland/Mountain Lake Park Lions Club hosts the Autumn Glory 5K Run and 2-Mile Walk on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Broadford Lake. 5K runners start at 8:30 a.m., with 2-mile walkers following at 8:40 a.m. Runners may walk, but walkers should refrain from running. Race-day registration and packet pick-up begin at 7:00 a.m. All activities take place outdoors or under an open pavilion, so be prepared for the weather. Parking is next to the start/finish. The course follows Broadford Lake across the breast dam to Simon Pearce glass blowing and back, over a mixture of pavement, mowed grass trails, and gravel road. Bib numbers are recorded manually at the finish (no chip timing), so please wear your bib visibly on the front of your outfit and be sure it is recorded as you exit the finish chute. Head to Downtown Oakland for the Autumn Glory Festival Car Show hosted by the Mountain Top Cruisers from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM. As the biggest car show in Garrett County, the event features antique cars, street rods, classics, trucks, motorcycles, and tractors. Spectator admission is free, while vehicle registration is $20 and includes a T-shirt and dash plaque for the first 300 entrants.
