Summer Reading Club kicked off with Reptile Wonders!

Jul 6, 2021

Summer Reading Club 2021 – “Tails and Tales” – began this year with a kick-off event hosted by the Ruth Enlow Library and presented by Reptile Wonders! With 500 people combined in attendance at the two shows in Oakland and Grantsville on Wednesday, June 30th, Reptile Wonders was a hit! The hands-on, interactive presentation included many different exotic species of reptiles including tortoises, lizards and snakes. Brian Kristal taught audiences where these animals can be found, what they eat, and what eats them. Plus, he discussed the animal’s adaptations and defenses specific to each reptile.

Don’t miss out on any of the fun events scheduled for this summer! There are three different elements to this year’s summer programming at the library. A reading challenge for children, outdoor events throughout the summer for all ages, and take home activities at each branch. Each child participant will receive a free book when signing up for Summer Reading Club.

Registration for any of the programs, the reading challenge, and the activities can be found online at https://www.relib.net/src.
