The Food & Nutrition Services Department of Garrett County Public Schools would like to express their gratitude to the families of Garrett County for their help in making the first week of Summer Food Service a tremendous success. Free meals were provided to 821 students, totaling 12,000 meals in a week.
We would also like to extend our appreciation to everyone who showed understanding when we fell short at some of our stops. We did our best to anticipate demand and will strive to progress to ensure that everyone who comes for meals leaves with them.
If you were unable to receive meals and we were unaware of your need, kindly inform our office so we can arrange for meals to be sent to you. We will have additional meals in our vans this week, so please share the drop-off information with anyone who needs it.
