Students Advance to the Final Round of the Scholastic “Hardest Math Problem Challenge”

Students from Broad Ford and Crellin Elementary Schools advanced to the final round of the (national) Scholastic Hardest Math Problem Challenge. Each is a fifth-grade student competing against other sixth-graders.

The first photo shows Broad Ford students Rowan White, Lydia Sgaggero, McKenzie Endvick, and Carter Damanski.

The Hardest Math Problem Student Contest is an annual competition presented by Scholastic, The Actuarial Foundation, and the New York Life Foundation that challenges grades 6–8 students to solve multistep, grade-appropriate math problems with real-world situations and engaging characters. Plus, 5th graders are eligible to participate by reaching a higher grade level!

The second photo shows students from Crellin, Issac Frye, Sunni Scott, Ava Glotfelty, Ava Lipscomb, and Mya Gosnell.

Congratulations to each of these students and good luck in the next round!
