Labcorp has opened its first Patient Service Center (PSC) in Oakland, MD, expanding access to high-quality lab services for local residents. This new state-of-the-art facility located at 8000 Thayer Center, Oakland, MD 21550, aims to help address gaps in healthcare in Garrett County, where 29,000 residents live in medically underserved areas.
The new center is staffed by skilled phlebotomists and healthcare professionals and designed to provide convenient access to a wide range of laboratory testing services.
At the ribbon-cutting, Todd Homan, Vice President and General Manager for Labcorp in Ohio, said, “The opening of our new patient service center reflects our ongoing commitment to deliver high-quality, cost-effective laboratory testing services to communities across Maryland with the goal of improving the health and lives of those we serve.”
The Oakland PSC is part of Labcorp’s broader efforts to expand healthcare access in the state, joining 108 other centers across Maryland.
