GLAF August 2024 Performances

GLAF at Deep Creek Lake, MD

The Garrett Lakes Arts Festival (GLAF) enriches Garrett County’s cultural landscape by supporting performing arts. With diverse performances including music, dance, theater, and storytelling, GLAF offers high-quality artistic experiences. By featuring local and international artists, GLAF fosters a vibrant cultural environment, contributing to the region’s cultural and economic vitality. Residents and visitors can enjoy a rich tapestry of performances year-round.

On August 10, the Baltimore-based Ann Street Trio, featuring some of the city’s finest musicians, will perform chamber music spanning from the classical era to the 21st century. Known for their engaging programming and interactive presentations, the trio aims to provide an intimate look at the artistry and excitement of chamber music. They reach audiences through regional chamber music series, university engagements, and private salon concerts. The members each bring unique expertise: Erik Franklin teaches clarinet at Towson University, Katlyn DeGraw is the Associate Principal Cellist of the Maryland Symphony Orchestra, and Hui-Chuan Chen performs nationally and internationally while teaching at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
