Garrett County Public Schools Responds to Alleged Threats (Deep Creek Lake, MD)

The Garrett County Public Schools (GCPS) system was made aware of alleged threats to other school systems. These threats are being made nationwide. No threat has been made to GCPS. GCPS has been in communication with local law enforcement agencies and the Maryland Center for School Safety. Due to these circumstances, you may see increased law enforcement presence in school areas.

GCPS encourages students and families to contact the SafeSchools Tip Line regarding school safety concerns. Anonymous reports can be submitted by calling the tip line (1-833-MD-B-SAFE/1-833-632-7233), completing an online form, or downloading the free app from the App Store or Google Play.
