Garrett Regional Medical Center will be offering wellness blood screenings for community members on June 5, 12, and 19 from 6:00 AM until 9:00 AM at 375 Pythian Avenue in Oakland by appointment only. An additional blood screening will be held on June 17 at Grantsville Medical Center in Grantsville from 6:00 AM until 9:00 AM. The blood screening will be $70. Accepted payments include cash or check made payable to GRMC. The multi-phasic blood screening includes iron, glucose, bun, creatinine, sodium, potassium, chloride, C02, uric acid, calcium, phosphorous, cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL, total protein, albumin, total bilirubin, AST, ALT, alkaline, phosphatase, VLDL cholesterol, estimated GFR, TSH, WBC, RBC, hemoglobin, hematocrit, MCV, MCH, MCHC, RDW, platelets, MPV, neutrophils, lymphocyte, monocytes, eosinophil, and basophil. Accident Library invites you to join their needlework sewing circle! They meet every Saturday morning at 9:30 AM. All age groups and skill levels are welcome, so come meet other sewing enthusiasts and make new friends, stitch by stitch. Create your own world.  Join the Creative Writers Group presented by the Grantsville Library every second Monday of the month from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. All are welcome. Attendees will hear in-progress work read by area writers and are invited to bring their own work for constructive comments and gentle criticism.
