MoonShadow has truly come to love its annual Charles Dickens-themed Christmas dinner. The staff dresses in traditional costumes prepares a holiday meal fit for a king, and brings the very best in musical entertainment. This year, we are delighted to host Ruby and her beautiful mountain soul music on fiddle and guitar. She will captivate you with Christmas magic as she moves throughout the room, playing enchanting songs at each table. Bring your friends and family to join in what has become a Deep Creek tradition.
The ice rink is located in Grantsville Town Park near the Ruth Enlow Library. All sessions are limited on the number of participants so JTF1 encourages you to buy your admissions in advance but drop-ins are also welcome. Public skates are limited to scheduled times. RENTALS The Ice Rink has skates for all sizes, helmets, and skate aids for rent. Skates are $2, helmets are $1, and skate aids are $2. Skate aids are only available for children under 48 inches in height. You can bring your own bike helmet. Helmets are not required but encouraged, especially for beginners. Additionally, if you are renting skates, you are required to wear socks. Please wear full-length socks - footies, ankle socks, etc. are not appropriate to protect your skin in skates. SKATE SESSIONS AND PRIVATE RENTALS JTF will hold multiple Public Skate Sessions which are $5 per skater plus skate rental. Additionally, we have two special sessions. Joe Keyes and the Late Bloomer Band and dropping down the MoonShadow chimney and this time they're stopping by to see who is naughty or nice! Joe Keyes, the lead vocals behind “The Late Bloomer band”, is a frontman, poet, and band conductor hailing from Freehold, NJ. He founded his orchestra in late 2009 when he formed The Late Bloomer Band, a group of young, talented musicians based in Baltimore/DC. The band is known for its ability to play a wide range of genres including funk, R&B, soul, rock, and jazz.
