Grantsville Town Park

The ice rink is located in Grantsville Town Park near the Ruth Enlow Library. All sessions are limited on the number of participants so JTF1 encourages you to buy your admissions in advance but drop-ins are also welcome. Public skates are limited to scheduled times. Please see the schedule below to plan your visit. Follow us on Facebook (JTF1 or jointtrainingfacility1) to get the most up-to-date schedule. RENTALS The Ice Rink has skates for all sizes, helmets, and skate aids for rent. Skates are $2, helmets are $1, and skate aids are $2. Skate aids are only available for children under 48 inches in height. You can bring your own bike helmet. Helmets are not required but encouraged, especially for beginners. Additionally, if you are renting skates, you are required to wear socks. Please wear full-length socks - footies, ankle socks, etc. are not appropriate to protect your skin in skates. SKATE SESSIONS AND PRIVATE RENTALS JTF will hold multiple Public Skate Sessions which are $5 per skater plus skate rental. Additionally, we have two special sessions. Message from Learning Beyond the Classroom (Susanna Brodak, Anthony Brodak, and Lisa Bruckey) Last year, Anthony and I were lucky enough to start volunteering in Bloomington for Thanksgiving Blessing. The amount of gratitude and appreciation shown during this operation is humbling. It shows a community working together to be sure no family is without. This food giveaway has been put together, organized, and run by Lisa Bruckey for the last 11 years. She has created a way for less fortunate families to feel secure with a holiday meal for Thanksgiving. After volunteering, for two years, our hearts and God have guided us to help put this same event together for Christmas. We are teaming up with Lisa and our community to feed at the very least, 150 families. This is 100% funded by donations. We will be accepting food and monetary donations starting immediately. A list of needed items will be posted to the event's Facebook page and will be updated as donations come in. The remainder of the needed items will be purchased the day before pickup. FREE! ALL ARE WELCOME! ‘Tis the season holiday night hike and bike! I’m getting a group together on Tuesday 12/19 to HIKE at 6:30 PM and/or BIKE at 800pm at Garrett State Forest! For the hike: bring your own light and water! We will be hiking less than 2 miles (likely about 1 mile out and back) with less than 200 feet elevation change. For the bike: bring your own bike, helmet, light and water! (message me if you need a bike) We will see how far the group wants to ride but it will be a casual/ slower pace.
