Join Grantsville Library for its Smokey Bear Reading Challenge opening event at the Grantsville Library - presented by the Garrett County Forestry Board! Learn about the history of Smokey Bear and his fire prevention program. Explore how wildfires can be damaging to forests, while prescribed fire is beneficial for forest conservation. Meet Smokey and see some of the tools used by forest rangers in their jobs! Jitterbug Studios will have its Sunset Yoga Dance Lessons at MoonShadow on March 20 & 27, 2024. Release tension from your mind and body as you are led through a series of sustained postures and breathwork. Together, they will support you as you are guided through gentle instruction followed by a grounding meditation to close the practice. All are welcome, regardless of level! Please bring your own mat or let them know if you need one. $10 at the door includes 1 drink ticket.
