Student Discovery Series: Fairy Frog Garden Class

Join us for an engaging class that will ignite creativity and foster a love for nature as youth participants design their very own mini fairy frog garden. With hands-on guidance, they'll select and arrange succulent plants, stones, and decorative elements to create a natural scene. Materials are provided, and each participant will leave with their own unique mini fairy frog garden to cherish. Perfect for budding gardeners and imaginative minds alike! This program is a part of Ruth Enlow Library's Student Discovery Series. Our volunteer presenters offer a wide variety of enrichment programs for K- 12 students and their families. Space is limited and registration is required. Mountain Bike Field Maintenance Clinic

Get hands-on and gain confidence in maintaining your mountain bike with this practical 3-hour workshop designed for riders of all levels. Whether you're new to bike maintenance or looking to refine your skills, this session will give you the essential knowledge and techniques to keep your bike trail ready. In this workshop, you'll learn: How to perform a pre-ride safety check. Basic drivetrain maintenance: cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting. How to fix a flat and repair a tubeless tire. Brake adjustment and troubleshooting (disc and rim). Gear shifting adjustments and derailleur tuning. Chain wear and replacement tips. Emergency trailside repairs. Led by an experienced bike mechanic, this hands-on class emphasizes real-world scenarios with plenty of time for questions and practice. Bring your own bike to work on, or use one provided. Leave with the skills and confidence to keep your ride smooth and safe. Perfect for: Recreational riders, weekend warriors, and anyone who wants to understand better how their mountain bike works. What to bring: Your bike (optional), multitool (if you have one), and a willingness to get your hands dirty!
