34th Annual Job Fair

Garrett College 687 Mosser Road, McHenry

The 34th annual Garrett County Job Fair will take place on Tuesday, April 14th, from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM at the George C. Edwards Community Aquatic & Recreation Complex (CARC) on Garrett College’s main campus. The job fair is intended to connect employers with job-seekers. It’s open to community members across the region, including surrounding counties and neighboring states. This includes college students, high school students, and entry-level and experienced candidates seeking full-time, part-time, seasonal, summer, immediate, and future positions. Attendees may register on-site the day of the fair. Fair attendees will be able to connect with industry representatives from education, retail, manufacturing, public safety/corrections, healthcare, real estate, human services, financial services, logistics/transportation, government, and construction to discuss career opportunities. The job fair is a partnership between Garrett College, the Garrett County Department of Business Development, the Western Maryland Consortium, 104.5 KHJ, 92.3 “The Train”, and 1050 AM WMSG. Garrett County Public Schools’ Board of Education Meeting

The Garrett County Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Dennett Road Education Complex in the Community Room. The meeting is open to the public and will be live-streamed for public review. Public comment for the April 14, 2026, Board Meeting will begin at 4:00 PM, after which time the Board will go into executive session in the Maintenance Conference Room until 5:30 PM to discuss personnel matters and a negotiation topic. The Board of Education will reconvene for the public session from 6:00 PM to 7:15 PM in the community room. Time is set aside during the public session for the hearing of constituents at approximately 6:30 PM. Please note that this time is approximate, and public comment may be adjusted based on the timing of the presentations.
