JTF Public Skate Session

Grantsville Town Park

The ice rink is located in Grantsville Town Park near the Ruth Enlow Library. All sessions are limited on the number of participants so JTF1 encourages you to buy your admissions in advance but drop-ins are also welcome. Public skates are limited to scheduled times. Please see the schedule below to plan your visit. Follow us on Facebook (JTF1 or jointtrainingfacility1) to get the most up-to-date schedule. RENTALS The Ice Rink has skates for all sizes, helmets, and skate aids for rent. Skates are $2, helmets are $1, and skate aids are $2. Skate aids are only available for children under 48 inches in height. You can bring your own bike helmet. Helmets are not required but encouraged, especially for beginners. Additionally, if you are renting skates, you are required to wear socks. Please wear full-length socks - footies, ankle socks, etc. are not appropriate to protect your skin in skates. SKATE SESSIONS AND PRIVATE RENTALS JTF will hold multiple Public Skate Sessions which are $5 per skater plus skate rental. Additionally, we have two special sessions. A Stitch in Time Sewing Circle

Accident Library invites you to join our sewing circle: "A Stitch in Time." The library meets every Saturday morning at 9:30 AM. All age groups and skill levels are welcome, so come meet other sewing enthusiasts and make new friends, stitch by stitch. Put your detective skills to the test on this easy 1-mile, hourlong hike in search of tracks and scat.

Fundraising Skate

Grantsville Park Town of Grantsville, MD

JTF will be hosting a fundraising skate for the family affected by the house fire. All admissions for this skate will be donated to the family. Additionally, 10% of the concession stand proceeds will be contributed. Come out and skate to support one of our own Garrett County families in getting back on their feet. Even if you don't skate, join JTF  for lunch at the rink. They will be accepting cash donations and gift cards to assist the family.

Come to the Oakland Library to create a Mason Jar Luminary! All materials will be provided. *Registration required. Lego Showcase

Southern Middle School 605 Harvey Winters Drive, Oakland

The Lego Showcase is a fundraiser for the Southern Garrett Marching Band, hosted by Elwood, a 4th grader at Broad Ford, as part of his 'Be the Change' Project. Sign up by January 22, 2024, to rent a table and display your Lego builds! General admission is $8/person; children under 2 get in for free. Reptile Encounter

Spaghetti Benefit Dinner

Grantsville Fire Department 178 Springs Road, Grantsville

The Spaghetti Benefit Dinner will be held on January 27, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Grantsville Fire Department. The cost will be by donation, and you can choose to eat in or carry out! All proceeds will benefit Wyatt Wilkens. This event is hosted by the Grantsville Lions Club and Grantsville Fire Department.
