TAVR: An Innovative Treatment for Aortic Valve Disease at Deep Creek Lake, MD

Kristi Montrella, DNP, CRNP, director of the Structural Heart Program at UPMC Altoona, will talk about conditions that affect the aortic valve, including aortic stenosis and aortic regurgitation. She will discuss symptoms of the disease and treatment options, with a focus on transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), a minimally invasive procedure that offers an alternative to open-heart surgery for eligible patients with aortic stenosis.

Kristi sees patients at the valve clinic at the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute at UPMC Altoona.
