Deep Creek Lake is turning 100—and the party’s just getting started. From trivia nights and boat parades to a roaring ’20s gala and lakeside adventures, the DCL100 celebration is packed with events for all ages and interests. Whether you’re a full-time resident or planning your summer escape, here’s your insider’s guide to the DCL100 events happening throughout 2025.
APRIL
April 24 – Deep Creek Team Trivia Night

Put your DCL knowledge to the test! Grab your smartest friends and catch the last Thursday in April for fun, facts, and prizes.
April 27 – Picture Party at Ace’s
Ace’s Run Restaurant & Pub
Bring your old photos and lake stories! Hosted by Brenda at Ace’s Run, this event invites the community to share memories and archive the stories and memories around Deep Creek Lake.
April 29 – Amazing Grazing: A Taste of Garrett County
Garrett Ag Heritage Hall
A delicious collaboration of area restaurants as a fundraiser for Stage WEST—expect tasty bites from local vendors and a celebration of Garrett’s unique local food scene.
MAY
May 6 – Maryland-in-a-Day: Kicks off at Deep Creek Lake
Silver Tree Marina Boat Ramp
The Maryland Tourism Coalition’s “Maryland In A Day” kicks off at Deep Creek Lake, where board member Chris Riehl will begin his statewide tour with a short interview with the DCL100 Committee.
May 12 – Free Admission to Deep Creek Lake State Park

Thanks to the Western Garrett County State Park Volunteers, you can enjoy one of the lake’s crown jewels—on the house!
May 24 – Deep Creek Lake Adventure Challenge
Starting from Wisp Resort
Think scavenger hunt meets obstacle course. Teams will tackle puzzles, trivia, and physical challenges in a race around Garrett County.
JUNE
June 21 – Triple the Fun at the Lake

Boat Parade organized by the Deep Creek Lake Lions Club—featuring towns, businesses, and creative floats cruising the lake. You can vote for your favorite! Parade route starts
June 27 – Grantsville Days Parade
Catch the DCL100 float rolling through one of the region’s favorite summer festivals.
JULY
July 4 – DCL100 Float at Accident Homecoming Parade
Town of Accident
Celebrate the 4th with a hometown parade and centennial spirit.
July 5 – DCL100 Sailboat Regatta
Deep Creek Lake
Hosted by the Deep Creek Yacht Racing Association—watch the sails fly or join the fun on the water.
July 8 – DCL 100th Par-Tee Golf Tournament
Thousand Acres Golf Club
A classic course meets a century of celebration.
July 12–13 – Victorian Chautauqua
Mountain Lake Park
Historical reenactments, speakers, and local stories—some with unique Deep Creek Lake ties.
July 19 – DCL100 Birthday Bash
Garrett County Fairgrounds
A full-day festival with live music, food vendors, a kidzone, crafts, contests, and a grand surprise to cap the night. This will be an entire day of fun with gates opening at 12pm until the surprise at 9:30pm.
July 21 – Free Admission to Deep Creek Lake State Park

July 26 – Kitzmiller Homecoming Parade

August 23 – Deep Creek Lake Centennial Gala
Wisp Resort
Dress in your best Roaring ’20s attire and enjoy live Big Band music, dancing, and celebration with a 400-person capacity. Don’t wait to grab your ticket!
SEPTEMBER–OCTOBER
September 6 – Deep Creek Lake Art & Wine Festival
Garrett County Fairgrounds
Held by HART for Animals, this popular event returns with art, wine tastings, and all the good vibes.
September 7 – Watersports Exhibition
Deep Creek Lake
Catch high-flying stunts and water thrills on the lake.
Fall 2025 – DCL100-Themed Corn Maze
Cove Run Farm
Wind your way through the DCL100-themed maze, perfect for all ages during crisp fall weekends.
