The Autumn Glory Kick-Off dinner & Reception is tonight and is reportedly sold-out. If you have tickets we will see you at this great event that starts at 6:00pm in the Agriculture Heritage Hall at the Garrett County Fairgrounds.

Visit the Mountain Fresh Farmers Market today from 11:00am-1:00pm to pick up some autumn fruits and veggies and other goods.

Kristin Spiker, Food Supplement Nutrition Educator, University of Maryland Extension, has been a popular feature at Mt Fresh, showcasing recipes using seasonally available fruits and vegetables. Her final demo day this season will be October 12th, during Autumn Glory Festival. See some of recipes at the University of Maryland Extension site. Garrett Regional Medical Center will hold the next Look Good…Feel Better workshop on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 5:30pm at the GRMC Lower Level. The workshop is for individuals currently undergoing treatment for cancer. The program is offered free of charge and each participant receives a complimentary make up kit valued at $250. The Sky Valley Homeowners Association is holding a class on titled Deep Creek Lake Water Quality and Your Garden. The class is open to the public and will be held at the Sky Valley Board Room on October 27th from 1:00pm-3:00pm.
