Weather for today will be patchy fog before 10am; otherwise, mostly sunny with a high near 52 and a low around 44.

The Ruth Enlow Library is holding their children’s STEM Festival at the Kitzmiller branch from 10:30 am – 11:00 am this morning.

Don’t forget that early voting is open until November 1st at various sites around the county.  You can check out the ballot online to get the “lay of the land” before you vote.

The library also has a Lap Sit activity for children scheduled for today from 10:30 am – 11:00 am at the Oakland branch location.

The Greater Oakland Business Association is looking for member events for Christmas to put in their communications by this Friday.  They are also looking for donations for children’s gift bags and the sleigh ride. Did you know that according to a survey conducted by Lend Edu, the average American intends to spend $185.50 on Halloween this year? This number is up from their report last year, which found that the average American intended to spend $169.81 on Halloween in 2017.
