The weather today will have a  chance of showers in the morning, then showers likely with a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon—highs in the upper 60s and a low of 59. South winds of 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. The chance of rain is 70%.

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of attending the Garrett County Celtic Fest and the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra!

At the Celtic Festival, I was representing the Garrett County Government and giving out the commemorative Friendsville coin! Here’s a snap taken by my friend Terah and her son / puppy Asher:

At the WVSO, I enjoyed the music for sure! And, my friend Tom won the silent auction and he was a guest conductor for a song! Very cool!

Students in the STARS classroom at Grantsville Elementary recently read the book Rolling Thunder by Kate Messner and illustrated by Greg Ruth. The students also received a visit from the group “Rolling to Remember” on Friday, May 13, 2022.

The Garrett County Health Department Clinic in Oakland will be having a vaccine schedule and COVID-19 testing today.

The Group Bike Ride will depart from the parking lot immediately in front of The Tiny Corner Bike Shop every Tuesday at 5:30 PM during the late spring, summer, and early fall. Riders are grouped by ability level, so no one gets left behind.
