This October, the Maryland Department of Transportation and other partnering agencies promote and host events and webinars spotlighting Maryland pedestrians’ safety, health, and commuting options in current walk programs and Initiatives. October 5 is officially Walk Maryland Day! To celebrate, we are encouraging Maryland citizens to register as a walk leader or a “sole mate” (a walk participant).
