It was actually a fairly nice day yesterday; I would even say it felt a bit warm at times. The weather for today will be mostly cloudy with a chance of rain in the afternoon and highs in the mid 50s.

Yesterday the Maryland Department of Natural Resources announced the 2018 Annual Photo Contest. Last year almost 300 photographers (both amateur and professional) entered over 1,500 photos for awards and prizes. MD DNR will be accepting entries until August 31st.

By the way, based on the number and quality of photos submitted to Deep Creek Times by our readers, we think you talented folks should really consider submitting to the DNR contest. Some of the photos we receive are truly exceptional. Keep up the good work!
