At approximately noon on September 17, a threat to Southern Garrett High School was put out through social media. As a precaution, the school went into HOLD status. The threat was determined to have no credibility. HOLD has been lifted and classes are in session.
No school, including Southern High School, was ever specifically named in the social media post.
