Two members of the Rotary Club of Oakland, Teresa Feather, and Jessica Wilson, were recently honored by Rotary International by being named Paul Harris Fellows. This prestigious award, named for the founder of Rotary International, honors members of local clubs who have been of outstanding service to the club and local community.
Feather is the immediate past president of the Rotary Club of Oakland and has been involved in a number of Rotary fundraising and service projects, as has Wilson, also a past president and current service projects chair who leads Rotary’s sizable French Fry efforts that raise funds for local charities and individuals in need.
The Rotary Club of Oakland meets Thursdays for lunch at the Oakland American Legion on Memorial Drive across from Garrett Regional Medical Center and welcomes all interested in becoming a member. The club may also be reached by phone at 301.501.0190 or via email at OaklandRotary1925@gmail.com.
