Due to increasing costs on just about everything, the POA Board of Directors decided in our October meeting to increase the POA annual dues from $30.00 to $50.00, effective January 1, 2023. This is the first dues increase we have had to do in over 10 years, but the board felt it necessary in order to maintain our effectiveness for the lake and you, the property owners, according to our mission statement.
Here is how that will be implemented:
- The increase will be applicable to new memberships and renewals in the future from January 1, 2023
- Dues are based on a year-long membership period, based on your payment date. So if you last paid on January 23, 2022, your membership expires on January 23, 2023. Your renewal rate will be $50 for the next term.
- If you have set up an auto-pay online option, your membership will be paid at the new rate with no interruption. You will still receive reminders two weeks and one week before your membership fee is charged. You can always change the setup of your account here: https://deepcreeklakepoa.z2systems.com/login.jsp. If you would like me to turn off the auto-pay option so you have a chance to review the new rate before you are charged, please let me know, and I’ll take care of that.
- We will still mail out paper dues reminders in batches a few times per year to delinquent accounts. We want to phase these out, so please help us save money and resources by making your payments online and setting up an automatic payment if you are able.
It’s never easy to raise prices, but the association firmly believes that membership in the Property Owners’ Association is still a great value.
