Mountain Maryland Medical Mission, a No-Cost Medical Clinic, Coming to Allegany County Fairgrounds (Deep Creek Lake, MD)

Western Maryland faces significant challenges when accessing critical medical care – transportation and lack of providers together impact 50% of residents. The U.S. Army and collaborating organizations are currently hosting the Mountain Maryland Medical Mission, a no-cost medical clinic at the Allegany County Fairgrounds through August 5.

The event stems from a need to keep military medical providers deployment-ready and offer a unique opportunity to address local social drivers of health. This Wednesday, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield (CareFirst) will proudly bring its employees to volunteer alongside staff to aid the community.
