Last week we reported that the Maryland delegation “opened a conversation” regarding the Western-most counties of Maryland becoming part of West Virginia. The dust is settling now and some delegates as part of the initial letter are responding (see below), Governor Hogan (MD) sees it as a publicity stunt, and Governor Justice (WV) would welcome the counties.

As I can tell from my home in Oakland, the fall foliage has been interesting this year. I have full-colorful trees out the front window and the leaves have dropped off of a majority of trees out the back window. Here’s the official, latest fall foliage report from the state of Maryland.
