I just read about the “Pennies for Premies” fundraiser on Facebook. Mel Smith is working to collect 41200 pennies or $412.00 (one dollar for every day she was a patient as a premie.) This money will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House in honor of Mel and other premature babies.

A study has shown that 2:54 pm is the precise time that Marylanders consider ‘acceptable’ to begin drinking over the holidays. Who knew?

Another study found a 25.7% decline in trips of at least 500 miles in Maryland in 2021 compared to 2020.

Children are invited to join the Learning Beyond the Classroom today from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Friendsville Firehall.

Oakland Library will celebrate an evening of holiday treats, crafts, and activities for both kids and adults. There will be a door prize and a visit from Santa!
