Lakeside Creamery Joins the Maryland Ice Cream Trail!

Exciting news for local ice cream lovers! Lakeside Creamery has officially been added to Maryland’s Best Ice Cream Trail for the 2026 season. Launching this Memorial Weekend and running through September 7th, the 14th annual trail highlights top-tier creameries across the state, and our very own Garrett County staple is front and center.

While the trail traditionally features on-farm operations, this year introduces select, high-quality non-farm locations that directly support Maryland dairy farms by serving locally sourced ice cream. Lakeside Creamery is proud to represent Western Maryland in this delicious tradition, giving visitors a perfect way to support local agriculture with every scoop.

Participating is easier than ever this year with a new, web-based digital app through Bandwango (no phone download required). Simply sign up for a free account, check in online when you grab a treat at Lakeside Creamery, and start racking up points toward custom stickers, coffee mugs, and hats.

To make the summer even better, the Maryland Department of Agriculture has teamed up with the Department of Natural Resources. Trail participants who pair their ice cream stops with a hike at nearby state parks can log their outdoor adventures on the digital pass to be entered to win a Maryland State Park Pass.

Before or after your next lake adventure, stop by Lakeside Creamery to grab your favorite flavor, check in on your digital pass, and help us celebrate being part of the 2026 Ice Cream Trail! For more details on how to join the fun and win prizes, visit marylandsbest.net.
