What an incredible day at Oakland Golf Club today. Chip-ins, birdies, bombing drives, and some beautiful golf swings. We seem to be pretty good at dodging the weather too! Oakland was such a great host and we can’t wait to get back next week for the championship!
Our tours had tight matches all across the board today. Our Scheffler tour was missing our points leader Carter Bishoff, BUT brought some fantastic competition among the remaining players. Austin Mason pulled out the win today with a 57. Griffin Holcomb stayed close behind with a 58 and Ethan Faulkner rounded out the podium with a 60. The Woods Tour had some great rounds as well with Carter Goff driving in a solid 39. Olivia Nichols followed behind with a strong 44 and Wyatt Johnson fought through injury and broken clubs to show some true grit to still put together a 45 and claim the bronze. In our Nicklaus Tour, Monk Garland came off a heater during the first half of the day to shoot a 42 to take the win. Luke Brenneman takes 2nd in a card off over Brooks Mead with very solid rounds of 44. Beginning to see some AWESOME competition as we are coming closer to the end of our season.
