Garrett County Junior Golf Tour Hits Lodestone for Third Tournament

Garrett County Junior Golf Tour Hits Lodestone for Third Tournament at Deep Creek Lake, MD

Lodestone Golf Club proved to be a fantastic venue for our 3rd round. It seems many of the players are beginning to find a groove and putting together a few rounds. We were also joined by some “wild” spectators throughout the day. From deer and turkey to bear and some unwelcome snakes, Everyone wanted to see these kids play! But not only did we have some great play. But we learned a ton during our putting clinic early this morning. Learning the 3 basic keys to putting, starting direction, distance control, and green reading, these kids put on their own clinic today on the golf course with their new knowledge.

Let’s go through some highlights! Carter Bishoff once again cards our low round of the day with a stellar 42 on the front 9 at Lodestone. In the Woods Tour, we had a battle from start to finish. Carter Goff pulls out his first win of the season with a 46, edging last week’s winner, Wyatt Johnson, by 1 stroke and Olivia Nichols by 2 strokes. A tight race from start to finish among this group. The Nicklaus Tour also had some drama today. Luke Brenneman took home with win with a 47 today with a very close challenger behind him in Monk Garland. Monk made a charge to stay within one of Luke with a tap in Eagle, our first eagle of the year, on the par 5 3rd hole.
